Kid Safe Spots started from a simple need: knowing where my child is, without handing our family's movements to a company that sells ads, locks basics behind subscriptions, or collects more than it needs.
What makes it different
Encrypted on the phone
Locations are locked on the child's phone before they leave it. Our servers keep only unreadable data.
Light and simple
A small Android app that runs quietly in the background, paired once with a QR code.
You choose who sees
Only people you invite, and who have the device key, can open the map.
How it works
- 1Add a device on My devices and scan the QR code with the child's phone.
- 2Press “Start sending location” on the phone.
- 3Open the Tracker, enter the device key once, and see the live position and travelled path.
Honest about costs
Today Kid Safe Spots is free, with no ads. Running servers and maps does cost money, so that may change as more families use it. Whatever happens, your family's data will never be the price: we won't sell it, show ads with it, or be able to read your locations.
